Ted was a baby, loved by everyone around him,
esp. his Father God (aww....)
Then he became a toddler, walking on knees and hands.
He went to Agapeland Kindergarten
Time whizzed pass and Ted landed..... up at
St. Andrew's Junior School at the age of 7
He could not help but be a good lil' boy for 6 years.

For PSLE, he had a 3-digit aggregate that landed him in...
St. Andrews' Secondary School
HE ended up in 1C, the middle of the 5 express classes.

He joined The Boys Brigade, and Saints for Christ CCA,
which he participated regularly
He brought along his newly aquired talent of string-playing
and served both CCAs with the acoustic guitar
On 2 occasions so far,
he has performed for the school on the electric guitar,
and he thanked God for the wonderful Blessings.

Once, Ted was made to sing in front of the school for morning assembly
When he called his very x5 good fren Clarence,
He made Ted cry.
He felt so sorry and guilty but soon,
they became very very very very very close frens.

Ted is also in a Youth Ministry called ignYte Ministry
that aims to be consumed with God's purpose to ignite this generation.
Ted was extremely comfortable and more than blessed
to be in that Youth Ministry.
He became a Celebration Host, humbly serving his God and His people

He was posted to ignyTE @ Paya Lebar officially on 1 January 2007. Though he is really very very sad to leave his close friends
behind, deep in his heart they're always a family (and shepherds) in Christ.

In school, he got pretty acceptable grades and he landed
himself in class 3S1. He loves his class and hopes to spend good times with them. Ted has grown closer to particular school friend Abraham
because though that they are both different classes, they still do their best to meet up together before school to have TAWG and pray
for each other and the school.

In January 2007, Ted was blessed with the opportunity to audition for the worship team. By God's grace, Ted landed himself one night
on the worship team roster. After 3 faithful months, Ted had the privilege to be a worshipper on stage, Still humbly serving
the Lord on strings, like always. Though he is saddened greatly to have to move out of CH, his work isn't quite done with
them! He helps bring the bulletins for service. The CH blood and legacy will still continue somehow. However, Ted knows He was
called to a greater purpose and he humbly and willingly embraces the God-given destiny for him.

The year is 2008. Ted faces his biggest obstacle yet, one that every 16 year old Singaporean student in the Express stream
will probably have to face: O levels. He is has become a Senior Prefect in charge of Welfare in Sep 2007. And he
thanks God for the privilege, because honestly, he doesn't deserve to be one. But by grace he is. He constantly
tries his best in taking good care not just for the new prefects but also the Board of Prefects. To him, every
Board Member is more than a friend. He constantly covers the Panel in prayer and is still doing so.

Another milestone in 2008 is the all-time big religious emphasis event of the year: Saints Aflame. Ted and his
still ever uber close fren Abraham, who is now 08 SFC's chairman, had the privilege of planning for the event.
These 2 students were so excited for the event, they started planning exactly one year ago in 2007. So much
for thorough planning. Every recess, they met up to discuss, share and most importantly pray. Ted took charge
of the worship segment, which he then realise was the biggest calling yet, where with God's direction, handpicked
12 other students to join in worship team. From planning songs, training the team, praying, and doing all that
he can, and with all that his worth, literally blood sweat tears. The 4-day event was definetly a jesusful experience.
Ted has seen how great God can be, as long as he is obedient and faithful in the small things. By His grace
the production came to past. And is was good. Ted holds this as his most dearest memory in St.Andrew's.
He looks forward to more of this...worship planning. If only the team could have co-operated earlier.
Nonetheless, he is extremely grateful to all 31 students who have made this production possible.

Ted's journey ahead is gonna be "by faith and not by sight" because there are many things Ted doesn't
know...and his path ahead seems cloudy. But with Jesus by His side, he is going to walk with Him and walk the path ahead...

Forward

lalala!

Gosh. fine, i do agree with a certain person its been a little long since my last post. but not that bad right! oh man. i just checked. it HAS been long haha. ok i shall fill myself in.

Orientation was great in YJ! i never expected to have so much fun. and..."fun". one thing is i shall not look forward for couple's dance ever. gosh. so embarrassing. anyway, 119 rules. thats an understatement. haha. i never learnt so many cheers in 5 days ever in my life! oh goodness. it still ring in my head. I'm really beginning to like my class. i must say as of now, i have not fully shown who i am yet i guess. perhaps i still need time to adjust and get used to a new environment, although i must say its still taking longer than usual. oh well. i shall adjust.

my heart sadly still lies with SA at the moment. i'm slowly letting go though. bit by bit, and i feel a sense of relief actually. i've realised i've been holding on to some very dear things...and people, that are the very things that God wants me to release. I guess my blood does run with one of St.Andrew's. So...gosh. i neve thought it would be this difficult, but with God, all things are possible (:

if there's one thing this new school has that i am totally not going to follow, its (in summary), no sharing of faith to anyone in the school. i.e no evangelising and testifying :( and that is actually a school rule! how irritating. thats one rule i am going to constantly break, no matter how much trouble i get into. i aspire to break this rule again and again, as many times as needed to get someone saved, if thats the price i have to pay. but its going to be sooo worth it. to heck with this rule. nothing is going to stop me from letting the world know of a Saviour. cause "What the world will never take, the world will never take it away!" yup!

I've got interesting teachers. haha. very interesting. thats about as much as i can say. i'm trying to accept one of them i particular. haha. oh well. but my classmates are one of a kind. i mean, each and everyone of them has so distinct characteristics and personalities, and its really quite fun and funny to see how we all bond together. i'm starting to love it. like seriously. i've met a few believers. a few is enough for God to move (: if only they are willing to rise up. lol.

Abraham said something today. in particular to Saints Aflame, he said: "The worshippers have all continued in the SA family. while the leaders have all been sent out to a new harvest field!"Gosh how i laughed...but as i reflect back, i began to see a lot of significance in his statement. Indeed, the leaders of the christian community of the school, both staff and students (like myself and Chee), have really all been sent out after completion of our time in SA. Like Rev Titus, Mrs Sarah Choo, Ms Wendy Yong, Pastor Ben, Mr Lawrence Koh, Clarence, Jerrold Quek, Darren Lee....gosh i can name so much more. but indeed, these very few mentioned ppl have all been send to a different place...and each and every single one of them has impacted lives in the different fields...and when i mean impact, i really mean impact. and whats scary is that its solo. like its just...one of them. impacting the WHOLE field. I am really amazed at how God used them and how they avail themselves for God to move.

So today...i see my prescence in YJ as a calling...and a new harvest field. Perhaps God knows that I'm ready to continue this legacy of going into a new harvest field...lol. so much for being part of the christian leaders community in SA. but...although i don't feel ready...perhaps i am but not...availing myself. so...perhaps i should just give it ago and see how it works. if there's one thing i want to leave YJ with to take back...is the rule that bans religious activities. I aspire for it to be gone totally. seriously. haha. thats a big dream but....hey no harm working towards it! So while the rest of the ppl i know remain together in the family, the few chosen ones, haha, like me and Chee have been called to a new harvest field...to be set apart, indepandant and ready to do God's will. (: thats hopefully how i see myself throughout my time in YJ....or perhaps better things.

Love.Me.Now event was today! Gosh. so many salvations. met my closest bunch of friends when i was in sec school for lunch prior to the practice. it was a great time of catching up. and yeah....the event;s worship team rocks like totally, not because i'm inside. haha. but because God really really moved and we facilitated His movement well. haha. i'm sooo uber happy and high, haha.

ok i shall continue to upload Stephen's birthday splash into my facebook.

gosh that statement is so stuck in my head: "while the LEADERS have all been sent out to a NEW harvest field" i shall so claim it. God being my helper.

First Steps

haha. thats the best expression i can use to describe myself today.
First day in YJC. haha. quite cool! Orientation first day is...not bad haha. my OG was rather quite though. lol. not surprising. i shall unleash my lame side when i get to know them better...and when i'm more properly attired. white pants is bad enough...together with black leather shoes, its THE worst playtime attire. EVER. time to look for pants. haha

but today is a day to remember, and i believe by faith it WILL get better. Auditions wasn't super fantastic, but it was pleasant and i enjoyed myself. I would say it was a good one. yeah...come to think about it, it couldn't have gone any better. the auditioners asked personal questions that was so relevant and spot-on to the type of personal questions anyone could get, so haha. really cool.

Now for the miracle. Gosh. First day of school and i had 5 ppl praying for me. all was well till 12.15pm where i requested to leave for 2pm auditions. And my first setback was that security guard who insisted i grab a leave form. then came the VP. oh gosh. First day of school and i believe i've just got myself blacklisted as "the boy who wanted to go SA through GE...badly". lol. he did not approve of my leave! oh gosh. its amazing how nice and smily and calm i was even though i had just been rejected. and from this, prayer works wonders. had to go through so many personnel it seems its like a major case for me. My OGL is the nicest i've seen, never failing to keep a look out for higher authorities to approve of my leave and kept speaking up for me countless of times. i'm touched and lost for words. she is really really understanding.

So in the end, when all seemed dark and cloudy, a little light came through. my CT got the VP's approval! oh gosh. it was like a huge miracle really. You could never imagine the weird thoughts of not turning up for auditions and losing a place in the JC...but God was faithful. He always have been. Even the taxi driver that practically rushed me to school was so uber nice...i asked him to keep the (40cents) change. lol. at least i offered leh.

then good faithful Abraham Chee Rui Zhi was there waiting for me with Wonderful, my classical guitar. and he even bought sushi for me thinking that i was hungry! oh gosh. i'm so so touched. i practiced and he commented and saw me all the way from arriving at SAJC to coming home. What a great brother-in-Chris i have!

But this whole incident has made me realised something: if God is for me, who can be against me? he turned a seemingly helpless situation around and just...delivered me from the JC. lol. yeah, delivered. gosh. I've learnt and i know from this that i certainly must not give up. He send a Civics Tutor, an OGL, a taxi driver, nice auditioners and good faithful Abraham to support me in different ways. This just shows that God is defintely for me, and because God has taken care of me and answered my prayers, i know that an even bigger miracle will take place.

I've got a story:
"A boy was out in a field on night. it wasn't a scenic place, but there were a couple of bright lights around him. He was troubled by a certain situation, so he looked up into the dark sky and told God: if i am able to see 3 stars, just 3 stars, i would take it as a sign that God is for him. He gazed into the night sky. Everything was just nice, from the cool breeze to the stillness of the night, but not a star was in sight. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and reopened them, hoping to see starts amidst all the lights in the area. Still no stars. He told God the same thing and in fact reduced it to 1 star, but sadly not a single star was in sight. As he looked up into the sky once more, he was disappointed that God did not answer his prayers. But then a little thought, almost like a small quiet voice saying:

you don't need see the stars to know it is there. you simply have to know it is there... and believe it"

same thing i guess. i've learnt i don't always have to immediately see God's works or ask for a sign of confirmation. I just have to know that God is there, and simply believe it. Besides, the people that were sent to help me out today is already a sign of God's favours.

Ted doesn't always need to see. He just needs to believe his ever-faithful God. Cause indeed, God will make a way where there seem to be no ways.

I shall now believe and wait...in prayer and faith.

To Yishun or....BUST

RAH.

rights. so we have arrived at that oh so nice day of the posting results. and ted got a pretty good option: Yishun JC. yup. he spelled it out. Although i must say he did some strategic planning. VERY strategic. As much as he looks forward to go to a JC...he has always and forever will have SA in his heart. Is it too late? No. There is still much to hope and pray for. Ted will not give up. Even so, he is blessed. Very very blessed, to have a JC. Though little is heard of..perhaps its time for a revival in Yishun? Hm....

Yishun or BUST. gosh. i really really pray its bust. oh God...if You can read this, please please please speak and reveal to Your child, the answer to one of the most long-awaited life changing questions: will he ever make it to SAJC?

....And here we go: Guitar Ensemble auditions. Mon,2pm. note to self: practice hard. its your last chance.

and its time to hope for and pray. whatever it is, God...You're the best (:

hm. i won't say i'm sad or disappointed...cause there is much to be celebraTED. theres much to rejoice. there's much...

...to be thankful for.

Beyond fifteen: The Next Phase

miracles do happen.

15 is something that i would never have expected to get. in fact, it way exceeds my expectations. considering writing discursively when expected to make a stand for english compo, this is certainly a miracle. these whole O level journey, i've relearnt: God is a faithful God!

gosh. i'm really excited. however, i do see before yet another mountain: the postings. gosh. 2 points short to the JC i want is just...not a very nice feeling. well there are many ways to get in though. praying that i'll get through JAE like everyone else. even so, appealing is NOT a bad idea, just that its the last line. Either I make it or....i'll make it (: by faith (LOTS AND LOTS of faith) lol.

So i planned my posting quite strategically, although i can't say i'm happy with the 1st JC that i surely can get it. but oh well. STRATEGIC is the word heehee.

well, till that day comes, i shall press on, pray, believe and just wait on God! Yup. thats what i should have done anyway. haha.

Gosh. my hols are coming to an end soon :( but i've really made the most out of it. I've been going to sooo many events with sooo many people and i've gone out soooo much i nearly couldn't go out already haha. its like i have to apply leave get out of my house. gosh.

Wednesdays will never be the same for me again...for this month at least! i've found a parent volunteer group who prays for St.Andrew's FAITHFULLY for 7 whole years. EVERY WEDNESDAY without fail, at CHS. from 7.45am to 9.45am. gosh. i'm just in total awe and amazed at their perseverence and commitment and unity in meeting every wednesday....till today i'm just awestruck, literally. for 10 years of my life in the village and i have NO idea this was happening. gosh. this is some late awakening. but oh well.

Have been going with Abraham every Wednesday morning to like join them, and the first time i was already made to play guitar. lol. how interesting God works when you just avail yourself haha. its a really fun group, i wish i can spend every wednesday mornings there! i'm just touched by every parent's love for the school. its simply amazing. haha.

Well, i shall continue to have fun! A hurricane hit my room so i need to do the...repair and life-rescue work. and if abraham chee sees this i want to know whats a pentatonic scale, and how to use them in blues. i shall inspire myself to learn a bit of jazz while i'm free. heh. time to enter the world of flats and sharps *since i hate it so much anyway*

THE Day Approaches

Oh hallelujah.

12 Jan 2009 will be a day to remember. Especially for those born between 1991-1993. The signal to prepare came in the form of a local television channel, called Channel News Asia. after all, it wasn't called a NEWS channel for nothing. But that news was....neither good nor bad, but just...a signal to prepare.

Gosh. The worries and anxieties that leads up to THE day. Its killing me. haha. although i;ve prayed numerous times, my spirit is at peace, thankfully. thr physical part of me is just more...anxious then worried. lol. i guess thats me, wanting to know the truth nownownow. haha. i;ve realise the only side-effect from all these....waiting is the anxiety to know the truth itself. other than that, there really is a lot of needless stress and hauntings go around lately. lol.

Then again, i see and have heard all the expectations and the "I look 4ward to hearing good results!" kind of answer. One after another. Gosh. I wonder what if i didn't have God. i might have just broke down or something. However, I can now claim these very expectations and goals that were set upon me, because i see it as an encouragement and signs of victory. it really changed the way i look at THE day. There is simply NO use of worrying and feeling pressured when you can do nothing about it.

So the only way is too look forward, with great expectations, to THE day...and SMILE! These whole O level series is a journey in itself. B3 is one grade Theodore Koh would have never been able to reach in his entire life, it not for God's grace and faithfulness. What better (and right) action to take then to place my trust in the One who can turn hopeless situations around?

Well, thats my reflections. I shall press on and hit the finish line, knowing God has never left me and never will. God has not given up on me, and therefore i shall not give up on myself. I've come this far, and I shall not go fall back but continue to hit many more finish lines with a persevering heart and in godly victory!

Beginnings

OOO.

its 5 january already. and i still haven't done a proper post yet. haha.

well. life without school is rather...cool i guess.
been going out a lot, and doing lots of stuff i could have never have done while having O levels.
even now, i've got things to look forward for! and no, the results is NOT one of them lol. But i have faith i will get through this. Because God is a faithful God

I'm still on some project. which i really wonder why i began in the first place. as each day past, i feel like i'm wasting my time. RAH. gosh, what should i do? i've already done so much, i can't stop now. then again, it'll eventually be a piece of forgotten memory anyway. I don't know :(

It seems like on the other hand, i'm getting roped into problems which i can't say i would like to be in...is it time to break free already...along with everything else i'd worked so hard for? *sigh*

2009: A year of fruitfulness, breakthroughs, and miracles. I will NOT continue in last year's spirit, cause there's so much more i can do this year!

So, THEODORE KOH: GROW up! Its time to SOAR. and keep your eyes FIXED on the FINISH LINE. things happened, things come and things go, but the blessings of God will just keep getting better and better, so GET READY for it! Don't let the things of this world hinder you from the so much better things that God has installed for you: so BREAK FREE and get up and DANCE in His Love!

There. so much for a note to self. Got to start the year well, and can't let the things of the past dwell on me.
